Recurring Shifts and Open Shifts
Most clients get care on the same days every week. Set up their master schedule once and Hailo creates the shifts ahead of time. When a shift has nobody on it, post it to your caregivers instead of calling around.

What you’ll learn
- Set up a client's repeating week
- Copy a shift to other days
- Review the shifts Hailo will create before you save
- Post an open shift to the caregivers you choose
Step by step
Open the client's Schedule tab
Choose Clients, open the client, then their Schedule tab. Every client has one schedule, and it lives here.
Start the week
Choose Set up master schedule the first time, or Edit week after that. Choose whether the week repeats weekly or every 2 weeks.
Add the shifts
Add a shift with its start and end time, caregiver, rates and tasks. Use Copy to put the same shift on the other days it should run.
Review before applying
Hailo shows how many shifts it will create or change. When you edit a week that is already running, choose whether the change applies to upcoming shifts too.
Post an open shift
On Schedules, choose Fill a shift and pick the open shift. Choose who sees it: everyone on your caregiver list or the caregivers you pick. It shows up in their Hailo app.
Let Front Desk call, if you use it
With Front Desk calling turned on, Have Front Desk call phones the caregivers you chose one at a time, between 9 AM and 7 PM.
Keep an eye on Posted shifts
Schedules › Needs attention lists your posted shifts and how many caregivers are waiting for an answer. Choose Edit posting to change who sees it, or Stop posting to take it back.
